Graham Beck Brut ROSE Sparkling Wine RSA
TASTING NOTES: Beautiful salmon pink colour with strawberry fruit flavours. Light yeasty aromas, good freshness on the nose and a rich creamy complexity on the palate. Fine mousse with a great length of flavour. VINEYARD: Pinot Noir planted on Table Mountain Sandstone in Firgrove, producing 8 tons/ha. Chardonnay selected from the Riverside and Limestone Vineyards; with high natural lime in the soils in Robertson, producing 9 tons/ha. HARVEST DETAILS: Both varietals are hand picked; Chardonnay at 18-19.5ºB for fruit and elegance. Pinot Noir at 19-20ºB for complexity and length of flavour and a touch of colour. CELLAR TREATMENT: Unique approach in vinification, whereby the whole bunches are jointly pressed as a blend, in the same press. Only the quality juice was settled overnight and then fermented in stainless steel at 16ºC. After fermentation it was bottled for the secondary bottle fermentation with a minimum of 36 months yeast contact before disgorgement. (6 x 75 cl)

Pieter Ferreira is the winemaker at the Robertson cellar, where he excels at producing sparkling wine made using the traditional South African Methode Cap Classique. Deep, rich plummy colour. A bouquet that's intensely warm and smoky in character, with distinctive hints of spice. On the palate, the fruit emerges beautifully and is in superb symmetry with the wood. It's ready to be enjoyed now, but with further bottle maturation, this wine's excellent structure will allow hidden layers to develop in a most impressive manner (6 x 75 cl)
