Jean Michel Gerin is one of the acknowledged masters of the region, imbuing Syrah with a wonderful purity and bringing out the full richness of Viognier. Gerin's winemaking methods aim for fragrance and sumptuous texture, with the wines' substance is based on fruit rather than tannic mass. This is a very highly regarded and well-established estate, the brothers, Patrick and Christophe, Bonnefond took over from their father in the early nineties. With seven hectares of vines at his disposal, Patrick crafts very intense Syrahs into three different cuvees. Patrick is not afraid of new oak but the wines are concentrated enough to flourish with strong oak ageing, rather than be hindered by it. (12 x 75 cl)
