This vineyard is situated on the Hill of the Cannubi. A deep, sometimes inky wine, with tobacco aromas. It has a great, smoky complexity and surprising finesse and suppleness for such a weighty wine. A perfect accompaniment to red meat game and cheese. Serve at room temperature. (12 x 75 cl)

Barolo Parafada is Franco Massoliono's foray into modernisation. The chalk soil in this south facing vineyard produces marvellous grapes that Franco macerates for 3 days only at high temperatures before racking the wine off into barrique, 50% of which is new, where it is aged for 2 years prior to bottling. The intensity of the fruit ensures the oak is well balanced and the fruit fresh and clean. The structure of Serralunga still shines through in the wine despite Franco's modernistic approach in the cellar. (1 x 1.5 Litres)
