Mitchelton winery was founded in 1973, and to this day remains one of Australia's most architecturally fascinating wineries. Here the Mitchelton tower rises high above the cellar door giving an inspiring view of the vineyards set on the meander of the pristine Goulburn River. Mitchelton lies in the heart of Central Victoria, sourcing from the sub-regions of Heathcote, Goulburn Valley and the Strathbogie Ranges. Mitchelton wines deliver balance, texture and complexity with consistent flavours that define the distinctive regional characteristics of Central Victoria. Great care from the vineyard to winery went into producing this blend of Viognier and Shiraz. The grapes were harvested from vineyards in Central Victoria and Nagambie Lakes then once in the winery the grapes were processed together in static fermenters. Fianlly, after pressing, the wine was pumped to barrel and spent 18 months in mostly french oak barriques. This has produced a rich garnet coloured red wine opening with highly fragrant plums and vanilla ice cream, musk highlights and dried raisins. Parish is silky smooth and flows beautifully from up front sweetness to old fire and vanilla richness with lingering flavours of 'old Jamaica '-nuts and raisins. (6 x 75 cl)
Print displays attributes of ripe black cherries, violets, plum pudding and spice combined with nuances of ash and earth developing with bottle maturation. Print shiraz is our flagship wine and is the pinnacle of red wine maing at Mitchelton. It is made from highly prized parcels of fruit and is the most intense expression of regional shiraz in the Mitchelton style. It is sourced from the best vineyard blocks and crafted by veteran winemaker Don Lewis. These blocks are targeted with specific viticultural techniques and are nurtured by hand to achieve optimum quality of fruit. The original print works, upon which each label has been based, are on permanent display at the Mitchelton winery, at Nagambie in Central Victoria (6 x 75 cl)
This Shiraz is a brighter fruit style than Print Shiraz, highlighting varietal definition. Being partly sourced from the same blocks as Print Shiraz, it also reflects the concentration of the flagship wine. The Mitchelton Vineyard Series is a range of varietal and blended wines using grapes sourcedfrom selected distinguished vineyard sites within Central Victoria. (6 x 75 cl)
This wine combines the individual attributes and characters of each variety to give a unique blend of complexity, texture, length and persistence. The Mourvedre provides rich, chocolatey, earthy flavours to form the textural component of the blend. Grenache gives fragrance, brightness and delicacy. The Shiraz adds violet and black cherry flavours and contributes structure and length. (6 x 75 cl)
This wine is typical of the more delicate style of Viognier. It exhibits a perfumed nose of dry rose petal, herbal notes and hints of apricots. The palate is a unique combination of persistence, elegance and texture with typically low acidity. The Mitchelton Vineyard Series is a range of varietal and blended wines using grapes sourcedfrom selected distinguished vineyard sites within Central Victoria. (6 x 75 cl)

Barrel fermentation and lees contact enhances the ripe fruit flavours contributing to the texture and palate weight.Vineyard InformationThe fruit was sourced from Mitchelton estate vineyards where the soil type is free draining sandy loam.
