Tormaresca Castel del Monte BOCCA di LUPO Apulia
Tormaresca is the fruit of the Antinori family's investment in the Puglian region since July 1998. The Tormaresca estate is composed of two properties: one in Minervino Murge a 100 hectare estate located in the Castel del Monte D.O.C. region, 40 miles from the Adriatic Sea; the other property is a 500 hectare estate near San Pietro Vernotico , closer to the sea in the Salento DOC region. The different grape varieties, 90% Aglianico and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon are harvested at their optimal level of maturation and afterwards are vinified separately. After the destemming and soft pressing, maceration lasts 15 days in stainless steel tanks. During this phase, the alcoholic fermentation is completed at a temperature between 28°C and 32°C . After the pressing and the maceration the wine will have completed the malolactic fermentation in barriques, made of ungarian oak, where is aged for 14 months, and then is aged in bottles for 6 months. A Ruby red coloured wine with fruity aromas that are well-combined with spicy notes and small red fruit,. A typical Aglianico soft, fresh, rightly tannic with a nice finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Tormaresca TORCICODA Primitivo Salento IGT
The Tormaresca estate is owned by the ancient Antinori family who have lived in Florence since the early 13th century when they moved from Calenzano, a small town between Florence and Prato, where their presence was recorded back in 1188. Wine is part of the family history and as early as 1385 Giovanni di Piero Antinori registered with the Guild of Winemakers. The Tormaresca estate was purchased in 1998 and is composed of two properties: one is called Bocca di Lupo in Minervino Murge a 100 hectare estate located in the Castel del Monte D.O.C. region, 40 miles from the Adriatic Sea. The other is called Masseria Maime, 500 hectare , closer to the sea in the Salento DOC region. The wine are produced in the new cellar located in the Bocca di Lupo estate. First the grapes are harvested when ripening begins. After pressing, fermentation is followed by maceration lasting 20 days in stainless steel tanks. During this phase the must completes its alcoholic fermentation at a temperature between 28º and 32º C. After the pressing and the maceration the wine will have completed the malolactic fermentation in barriques, made of french and hungarian oak, where is aged for 12 months. Finally, the wine is then aged in bottles for a further 10 months before being released. This has produced a ruby red coloured wine with the typical varietal aroma of red fruits and hints of prune that combine well with the wood notes. Soft, sapid, this primitivo has a complex tannin structure and long lasting finish. (6 x 75 cl)

Testing notes: very deep violet colour; intense bouquet of blackberry and raspberry with spicy hints of toasted almonds; full, warm and smooth on the palate with a taste of dried plums, chocolate and jam Area: Andria Vine: 100% Primitivo. Area of Production: 60% Primitivo di Manduria D.O.C. and 40% Primitivo di Gioia del Colle D.O.C. area. The Primitivo is cultivated in Apulia in two areas with quite different terroir that give to the wine different characteristics. At the south end of the region, in the sunny and flat Salento peninsula on the Ionian See the variety shows the maximum character and body in the areas of Sava and Manduria. On the Murgia hills in the area of Gioia del Colle in central Apulia, the altitude and the cooler climate give the Primitivo more elegance and finesse. Soil Structure: calcareous-argillaceous soil with an altitude of 40-50 mt and stony hills at 300-350 mt. . Trainig System: bush-trained. Harvest period: first week of September and last week of September . Vinification: after pressing, the maceration takes place in stainless steel vats for 10-15 days at the controlled temperature of 28ºC. Wine Aging: after a new months in vitrified concrete vats, the wine is aged in a French oak barriques for 6-8 months. Finally it matures for 12 months in the bottle. Analytical data: alcohol 14%; total acidy 6.00 g/l; pH 3.45; residual sugar 2.5 g/l; total S02 80 mg/l. (6 x 75 cl)

Rivera Salice Salento DOC Puglia
Salice Salentino DOC rosso is the most typical red wine of the Salento, the extreme south of Puglia, a blend of the area's traditional grape varieties, the negroamaro and some malvasia nera. State-of-the-art vinification and several months' ageing in oak barrels have given it its lively ruby hue, fragrances of dark berry fruit, full body, and lingering finish with a classic bitterish note. Rivera RUPICOLO Castel del Monte DOC Puglia
The Rupicolo is a red wine obtained with a careful vinification of the indigenous red grape varieties of the Castel del Monte DOC area, such as Montepulciano and Nero di Troia . The former grape variety gives it fruitiness and drinkability while the latter gives it character and moderate structure. The result is a young pleasant all round red wine with a good ageing capacity. Taste: Ruby red colour. Full aromatic bouquet. Soft, dry harmonious taste, lightly tannic. Area of production: The Castel del Monte DOC extending over the Murcia hills north west of Bari. (12 x 75 cl)
