Here, the boundary for this DOC region is separeated by the 'Grillesino' ditch and hence the name of the producer. This wine is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes selected form the best vineyards in the area. The light pressing and the controlled fermentation enable the grapes to render produce their best fragrance and aroma, while the wine is bottled in the following Spring and released after some months of bottle ageing. The wine is fragrant with an intense red colour as well as bright tints. Its bouquet is reminiscent of blackberries and currants while it is showing an agreeable spicy note that complements the finish.
