In this small vineyard only the most select Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown. These are used to make strictly limited quantities of Torres’ most prestigious red wine. Deep dense cherry colour, with a touch of mahogany this wine has a wonderfully intense bouquet typical of this vineyard showing hints of cranberries, cherries and truffles, with an incense-like quality developed during ageing in wood. The palate is ample and generous, with excellent sweet tannins that open out to fruit-laden nuances reminiscent of the nose. Chardonnay and Parellada are blended after careful fermentation of a percentage in Limousin oak barrels, thus retaining the character of each variety. The result is a magnificent, intense wine. Thanks to the presence of the Chardonnay, the wine is intensely aromatic and full-bodied, with a profusion of flowery notes over a fruity background and a hint of fennel. On the palate the wine has a long aftertaste and is silky with an elegant fullness. A touch of vanilla in the finish is indicative of the wine's short ageing in French oak. (12 x 75 cl)
