Description:
Made primarily from Montepulciano grapes with 75% Sangiovese from the Monte Conero DOC appellation. Matured in oak with ruby red colours with an intense and floral bouquet.
100% Montepulciano grapes are hand harvested from Rosso Conero vineyards on Ancona. The wine is vinified traditionally. 70% of the wine is aged in Barrique whilst the remaining 30% is aged 6 months in small French oak barrels.. With a bright ruby red colour, the wine has an intense bouquet of mature red fruits and dried flowers with subtle hints of spices. Gentle tannins accompany a rounded and harmonious palate. The vigorous Montepulciano grape is widely planted in the Abruzzi region of Italy, and produces, an excellent value for money wine. It has a vinous bouquet of berry fruits. Medium bodied, ripe, wild berry fruit flavours and a light tannic finish. (12 x 75 cl)

From a careful selection of Montepulciano grapes from old vines, the wine is aged for a year in French barriques followed by another year in bottle. The wine is full and elegant and made in limited quantities in only the best vintages (6 x 75 cl)
