This Verdicchio Vigneti Belisario is soft and rounded, yet structured, with a nutty savoury character, a satisfying richness on the palate, and a persistent finish. The Vigneto Belisario is made from organically grown grapes. This region has a continental climate which encourages the development of aromatic qualities in the grapes, keeps production down and allows the grapes to ripen fully. It is fermented and aged in stainless steel at around 18◦ Celsius, with the must being hyperoxidised prior to fermentation in order to ensure that minimal sulphur can be used at bottling – although sulphur is the only chemical allowed under organic production, Belisario naturally aims to minimise its use. Founded in 1971, Belisario produces grapes from 300 hectares of vineyards, 24 of which are biodynamic. It is the largest producer of Verdicchio in the region of Matelica DOC. All of their Verdicchio wines exhibit great regional typicity (12 x 75 cl)

A wine of great distinction, produced only in the finest years; the slightly over-ripe verdicchio grapes are its remarkable resource. Combined with a lenghty maturation, these grapes yield a remarkably aromatic nose which releases intense scents of tosted almonds, citrus, honey, and crusted bread; with cellaring, the bouquet will develop still greater complexity. On the palate, it immediately expands to astounding richness and suppleness, balanced, rich and seemingly endless. Hand -picking of the grapes, which had been left on the vine an extra two weeks until slightly over ripe; they were immediately lightly pressed, with no use of SO2, followed by 20-day fermentation at 20°C in stainless steel. The wine rested on the fine less until spring and underwent natural malolastic fermentation in early summer (6 x 75 cl)
This is the most distinctive version of Verdicchio di Matelica. It needs a bit of time for its characteristics to mature and thus to reveal itself as a wine of exuberant aromatic richness, yielding notes of anise, citron and dried fruit. Powerful and full (6 x 75 cl)
The jewel in the crown of the Pieralisi Group, the Monte Schiavo vineyard is distinguished by its commitment to agricultural and industrial development. Ever aware of its responsibility to use its especially rich and priceless heritage (6 x 75 cl)

The Bucci family have been involved in viticulture in the classic Castelli di Jesi zone of the Marche for over three centuries. Today they tend some 21 hectares of vineyards, sited mainly around the village of Montecarotto, using wholly organic methods. A combination of low yields in the vineyards and meticulous vinification, results in wines of memorable intensity and power. Aged for at least 12 months in Italian and Slavonian oak and a further period in bottle, this mould-breaking wine is reminiscent of fine white Burgundy in style with extraordinary richness and depth of flavour.
