Isabel and Bruno Perraud produce all their wine by organic methods. This Gamay has an earthy gout de terroir but also oodles of mouth-watering raspberry fruit. (12 x 75 cl)
9 hectares, all on La Madone supply the fruit for this immaculate small winery. Jean-Marc Despres, brother-in-law of Jean Louis Dutraive, makes a lovely, silky wine with plenty of character. This red wine constitutes the majority of what Domaine de la Madone produce. Vinified using the whole grape, and fermented over a period of 7-8 days, it encapsulates all the qualities one would expect from a Fleurie wine. It tastes smooth, and lusciously fruity, with subtle but nevertheless tangible tannins. It can be drunk young, but also improves with age. (12 x 75 cl)
