A blend of 60% Grenache ; 40% Syrah it has a deep colour with an attractive brilliance. This wine is aromatic with red fruits blended with spices while on the palate it is well-structured on rounded tannins, with a final spicy note. This wine has had this name since the beginning of the 1950s and this Cotes du Rhone takes its name from the 45th North parallel which runs two kilometres from the cellars of Maison Paul Jaboulet Aine. In the village of Pont de l'Isere, a monument symbolises this line with the inscription: 'the South begins here'. Available in 1.5 Litre Magnum bottles. (6 x 1.5 Litres)
Full-bodied and chunky dryish white with warm, soft and appealing weight, but balanced beautifully with a lime and apricot twist and hints of peaches and honey in the finish. (12 x 75 cl)
The name Mule Blanche comes from the days before mechanisation, when mules were used in the vineyards, as they were hardier than draughthorses. The wine is produced from equal quantities of Roussanne and Marsanne grapes and this has produced a pale yellow coloured wine with attractive brightness. The aromatic nose of white flowers, hawthorn and acacia displays a delicate woody final note while the palate is supple and well-rounded with an harmonious fresh finish. (12 x 75 cl)
