Aged for 12 months in American (80%) and French (20%) oak barrels, and then blended to give balanced varietal fruit and oak components. finally, it is bottled, unfined and filtered Impressive depth of colour. A deep crimson red colour with an intense aroma of ripe red berries, cherries and liquorice coupled with subtle hints of cinnamon and cedar oak. A full-bodied wine displaying redcurrant, floral, dark cherry and stewed plum fruit flavours enhanced by vanillin oak. A rich mid palate with a balanced firm tannin structure is followed by a long persistent finish.
