Portia Prima is the result of a meticulous selection of Tinta Fina del Pais (Also known as Tempranillo), from the the best plots in the vineyard. Once in the winery (Designed by Lord Norman Foster), the wine undergoes 15 months ageing in new French Oak and after light fining with egg whites the wine is aged a further 8 months in the bottle before release.

A deep cherry-red wine with youthful hues at the rim, it is showing intense aromas of ripe dark fruit that blend into the wooded aromas from the new oak and develop against a background of peppercorns. Hints of vanilla accompanied by toasty and balsamic notes produce a meaty style in the mouth while the sweet, agreeable tannins develop over the long finish.
