Description:
The Vin de Laurence is a vin de liqueur made from a double fermentation of Sercial and Muscat a Petits Grains (or Muscat Blanc). These grapes are harvested in October when roasted and shrivelled while the yields are a severe 10hl/ha. As a result of this great care in the vineyard and the winery an amber colour wine showing cooked oranges, sweet apricots and cloves flavour with a hint of garrigue honey has been produced.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon this is a soft pink coloured wine with very fine bubbles. Showing red fruit aromas on the nose, the fruit develops on the palate especially raspberry and strawberry. Balance and finesse this rose sparkler has a very soft finish with great length. (6 x 75 cl)
A fantastic bouquet of crushed blackberries and mulberries along with an array of smoky-leathery notes and a silky finish. Available in 37.5 cl Half Bottles. (12 x 37.5 cl)
Primary pearfruit Viognier aromas melt into the wine to be replaced by an impression of warm butter, pollen and dried fruits. Roll the wine gently in your mouth and you will understand harmony. (6 x 75 cl)
Daumas Gassac is characterised by wines of strong personality, complexity of aromas and extraordinary vinous qualities. As such this has contributed to the success and worldwide recognition of Daumas Gassac, notwithstanding the absence of any appellation status. The vinification is completely classical as carried out in the Medoc; long fermentations , ageing in wooden casks, light fining with egg whites and no filtering of the Reds. Clear deep ruby in colour this wine has an intensely complex nose, while it is showing a round, rich and fleshy palate with a long triumphant finish.
Daumas Gassac is characterised by wines of strong personality, complexity of aromas and extraordinary vinous qualities. As such this has contributed to the success and worldwide recognition of Daumas Gassac, notwithstanding the absence of any appellation status. The unusual vinification of the white wine starts with a maceration for five to seven days followed by the fermentation in stainless steel vats for a further three weeks. The wine is then transfered to new wooden casks of the kind habitually used in Burgundy for four to eight weeks and is lightly filtered with an alluvionnaire filter before returning to the stainless steel vats. Finally, the wine is sterile filtered just prior to bottling. The unique marriage between three noble grape varieties results in a great wine with a perfect balance between purity and freshness, it fills the palate with magnificent, long fruity flavours sustained by a creamy texture. Drink during the first year for an appreciation of the explosive aromas of youthful fruit. While in the second year the fruit gives way to the secondary more subtle aromas which are less floral. After the third year the Chardonnay becomes prominent giving birth to yet another wine.
