Description:
Les Nobles Pierres is an of assemblage 90% Syrah and 10% old Grenache vines and aged in Allier oak barrels (30% new) for twelve months. A lovely deep red colour showing a complex but elegant nose of vanilla, red fruits, pepper and tapenade. An excellent attack, with silky, melted tannins it is fat, voluminous, and round. A long finish of great complexity, on notes of vanilla, licorice, laurel, pepper and olives, finesse and elegance are the essential characteristics of this wine.
A well-known estate taken over by Jean-Benoit Cavalier in 1984 which seems to be on the right tracks again after a few years in the doldrums. The vineyards are situated in the communes of Vacquieres and Corconne north east of the Pic Saint Loup.
