Domaine Albrecht is located in Orschwihr, Southern Alsace, its origins going back to 1772. Their vineyards, along slopes facing south to south east benefit from a prime exposure on the foothills of the Vosges Mountains thus ensuring early ripening. Lucien Albrecht has 65 acres of vines and is rated amongst the most important producers in Alsace. The vineyard is located in Orschwir, which is situated in the lower part of Alsace. The wine making techniques used at Lucien Albrecht make full use of modern equipment in a very modern winery. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks and is slow and temperature controlled in order to obtain the finest fruit flavours. A powerful, full-bodied wine of great nobility. Rich, rounded body with a huge, perfumed nose and palate, the finish displays concentrated fruit and a long full length with a balancing mineral acidity. (6 x 75 cl)
Garnet coloured with an expressive bouquet, this Trousseau is both delicate and elegant, musky on the nose with attractive tannins. Morello cherry, spices, blackberry jostle for attention on the palate and there is an edge of pinesap which makes this very appealing. (6 x 75 cl)
