Notable for its well balanced and harmonious style, this is a straw yellow Chardonnay, with a full and fruity aroma. Hints of vanilla and melon and a persistent, broad finish. The Perlage team have hit on a simply appealing interpreta (12 x 75 cl) Perlage Tiziano Barrique IGT Organic. Made at the suggestion of Australian winemaker Lisa Gilbee, and named after the Nardi family patriarch Tiziano, this is a rich, full in the mouth white wine which has had 8 months in oak barriques. It's 60% Chardonnay with 30% Riesling and 10% Sauvignon. (12 x 75 cl) Perlage Pinot Grigio IGT Organic. Aromatic and fragrant with a lively and vivacious style. An off-dry and velvety white with delicious summer fruit flavours and a bouquet which the producer says evokes 'mountain meadows at harvest time'. (12 x 75 cl) Perlage Solatio Bianco Organic. Gently dry and very easy-drinking, a light and summery white made from local varieties. Best served well chilled on a warm evening, and good with light foods too. Hugely popular in Germany and, of course, Italy, Prosecco has been surprisingly slow to catch on here. It's dry, easy-drinking, but grapey, friendly and fizzy and fun!
