Amarone is made mainly from Corvina, a grape with the highest quality grown at the foot of the south sides of the Alps. Once harvested the grapes are dried in the shade for three months, and fully mellowed ones are squeezed and fermented. from the prized Valpentena zone. re-passed over the Recioto Amarone marc in March following vintage, then aged for 2 years in oak to give a deep ruby wine, with a warm, plumy flavour,good full body. Long lived. (12 x 75 cl)
