Intense and deep red coloured wine with violet hues, typical of the grape. Powerful syrah nose giving very intense fruit aromas of cherries, violets, blackcurrants. On the palate there is a fruit-driven attack, followed by lovely, well-rounded silky and harmonious structure. This syrah is a complex wine with good length, held up by its fruit and delicacy. Made from 100% Syrah the fruit is sourced from the basin of the Cotes du Rhone and the Cotes de Provence. This large region has made it possible to open up Maison Paul Jaboulet Aine's a large selection of wines. (12 x 75 cl)
A blend of 60% Grenache ; 40% Syrah it has a deep colour with an attractive brilliance. This wine is aromatic with red fruits blended with spices while on the palate it is well-structured on rounded tannins, with a final spicy note. This wine has had this name since the beginning of the 1950s and this Cotes du Rhone takes its name from the 45th North parallel which runs two kilometres from the cellars of Maison Paul Jaboulet Aine. In the village of Pont de l'Isere, a monument symbolises this line with the inscription: 'the South begins here'. Available in 1.5 Litre Magnum bottles. (6 x 1.5 Litres)
This 5 ha estate is located at Limony and Tournon, on a light soil of schist and gneiss on granite bedrock. Once in the winery this Shiraz wine will spend 9 months in oak casks to produce a deep ruby red with violet hues. The bouquet is both rich and concentrated showing very ripe red fruits, sweet spices and liquorice notes to finish. The palate is harmonious and frank with rounded tannins through to the long finish. The name of this Saint Joseph wine comes from Victor Hugo’s 'Legende des siecles': in the 9th century, the Grand Pompee, faithful companion to Charlemagne, fought at his side against the Moors, on the right bank of the Rhone. A famous line remains from this battle: 'and wine, that wine beloved of the Grand Pompee'. Available in 37.5 cl Half Bottles. (24 x 37.5 cl)
