This vineyard is owned by Castello di Fonterutoli and is the second wine of the winery. A blend of 40% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot and is harvested by hand from September 22th for the Cabernet Sauvignon; for the Sangiovese it is picked from September 24th; and from September 10th for the Merlot. Ageing takes place in stainless steel tanks and afterwards in small French oak barrels for 10 months. A deep and intense ruby/purple coloured wine with rich and ample aromas, with notes which combine red and black fruit, herbs and tobacco, and well integrated oak A wine of excellent freshness and good structure, long and with notes of cherries and wild cherries on the aftertaste. Soft, well structured and long, it shows the most modern expression of the Maremma Territory. (6 x 75 cl)
