This second wine comes mainly from the Chateau's young vines, and is made like its elder brother. Les Allées de Cantemerle has the same personality as the grand vin, but a shorter ageing potential. As it ages more quickly, Les Allées de Cantemerle is generally ready to be consumed within several years of the vintage. (12 x 75 cl)

Handpicking and selective sorting of the 50% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot, 5%petit verdot and 5%cabernet franc grapes from an average of 30 year old vines has produced a wine of concentrated taste and flavours. Cantemerle has a brilliant colour, with a powerful bouquet, and a soft, lively flavour. It is rare to find such refined fruitiness and this great wine can be enjoyed young, when it is charming, fruity and marked by a vanilla taste, which comes from well-integrated oak. Cantemerle is therefore an ideal wine for those who prefer fresh tannins, however, it can also age extremely well. The robe is intense with good density, while the fully expressive nose still harks back a little to its time in the barrel, while developing a superb fruitiness.
