This Chianti is a blend of Sangiovese Grosso, Cannaiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon and other traditional grapes carefully selected. Brilliant deep ruby colour, the wine has a very flavoursome taste; dry, full bodied with well balanced tannins. (12 x 75 cl)

To the outside world, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano must qualify as Italy's greatest wine secret. The old image of dried-out wines aged too long in wood is taking longer to disappear than the old wines themselves. Which means that while, wine-wise, Montepulciano is moving to share center stage with Brunello and Chianti, its prices and reputation have yet to catch up. Made from Prugnolo gentile and Canaiolo nero, this wine has a perfumed nose of ripe strawberries, tuffles and licorice. Full-bodied, with ripe black fruit, leather and black licorice. Good firm tannins and extremely long length. (6 x 75 cl)

The beautiful Villa Bibbiani stands on the southern slope of the Montalbano hills, its foundation dating back to the Lombard Court of the 8th Century. With a long history of wine production it is no surprise that today Bibbiani produces classic, high quality Chianti from its 25 hectares of vineyards. Bibbiani's vineyards are composed of the famous alberese and galestro soils and lie in an area known for producing ripe, soft and fruity Chianti. The estate's highest vineyard, called Pulignano, grows a high purity clone of Sangiovese and in exceptional years a single vineyard wine from this site is released. Ideal soils and an excellent climate produce wines that have excellent structure and the ability to age for many years. This wine still shows superb freshness. (12 x 75 cl)
