In September 1999 the Lafon family of Meursault bought a domaine in the Maconnais at Milly Lamartine, renaming it Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon.In May 2003 a further domaine of 6 hectares in the villages of Uchizy and Chardonnay was bought, including two potential single vineyard sites. The whole operation, based at Milly, is now looked after by Caroline Gon under the supervision of Dominique Lafon. The vineyards were immediately converted to organic and now to biodynamic farming. Dominique Lafon continues to fulfill the potential of not only his 14 ha project but for the quality of the Mâconnais in general. This is ripe and soft, with lemon and green apple flavours that complement the bright, refreshing and easy flavors that display lasting finishing energy. A lovely, casual party white. (12 x 75 cl)
