Intense, fresh, clean aromas - almond, anise, pear and apple all feature. This is fresh, with full, ripe fruit balanced by the typical bracing acidity of the variety, clean and long. Albariño 100% from the Val do Salnés sub-region of the Rías Baixas. A private bodega based in the small town of Ribadumia. It is owned by Carlos Castro Serantes, who owns a vineyard and also buys in grapes - this is normal in this part of Spain, where there are many small proprietors. Mr Castro cultivates his vineyard with the minimum intervention - lutte raisonnée- in French terms. Mr Castro produces three different cuvées of Albariño. The wine is made in small, temperature-controlled, stainless steel vats. Fining is with bentonite - which means that this wine is suitable for vegetarians.
