Description:
Most of this wine is now garnacha and cabernet sauvignon aged briefly in new American oak. Recent tastings show that the full burst of fruit, rich and concentrated, is just starting to integrate with the vanilla. It is a very 'up-front' style, generous and obvious on the palate in a very modern way.
Mature red in colour; complex nose with touches of liquorice, spice and truffles; powerful, full bodied and well structured in the mouth and noble on the finish. (6 x 75 cl)
A dark, opaque, brooding colour; aromas of toast and fruit compote; varied, sophisticated fruit flavours; full bodied, magnificently structured and built for the long haul. Syrah 70%, garnacha 15%; cabernet sauvignon 15%. (6 x 75 cl)
This red is made from a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Carignane and then fortified like a port. Sinfully rich and delicious, silky and full bodied. (12 x 50 cl)
Vibrant dark crimson colour with hints of purple, an intriguing, toasted and mature fruit cake nose with mineral notes, mountain herbs, liquorice and chocolate. Immensely full and powerful on the palate, great concentration of mature fruit from very low yields. A richness of flavours, balsamic, eucalyptus, envelopes the senses, reminiscent of the aromatic herbs and llicorella soil typical of the area. Grand structure and velvety tannins with an enduring and memorable finish. A sensational Priorat wine that may be laid down for 5 or more years. (6 x 75 cl)
50% Garnacha, 45% Carinena and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 12 months on lees in American and French oak it was bottled with no clarification or filtration. Bright red ruby colour showing damson fruit with nutmeg, cinnamon and white pepper nose. A wine of character, medium bodied, dry, concentrated redcurrant and blackcurrant, gooseberry fruit with good acidity and soft leathery tannins. Lingering finish. (12 x 75 cl)
40% Garnacha Blanca, 30% Macabeo, 30% Moscatel from average 18 year old vines on south facing slopes of llicorella soil. The result, a bright golden yellow coloured wine showing an aromatic, concentrated peach nose. Intense richness of tropical fruits (12 x 75 cl)
50% Garnacha Roja and 50% Picapoll Negre from 15 year old vines with yields of 1 kg per vine. Fermentation and crianza in 3 year old barrels of 500 litres during three months on its lees. (12 x 75 cl)
