Purchased in 1935 Clos Mireille is in La Londe, bordering the sea, not far from Fort de Bregancon in the Cotes de Provence Appellation. After extensive re-modelling and re-planting in the 1930's today the estate covers 170 hectares, including 47 devoted to wine production. Of particular importance is the a micro-climate imbued with seaspray that produces wines of great distinctive character.
A combination of 2 grape varieties - Semillon for its roundness, suppleness and taste of honey and Ugni Blanc, adopted for its liveliness and youth has produced a well made wine. From vineyards that stretch down to the sea, this wine has a well developed bouquet where aromas of stone fruit mingle with spices and wild flowers.

Our range of wines is constantly evolving as we strive to list as many wines in our database as we can. Here are some interesting suggestions from our extensive wine list
Ruby red wine, aged in small French oak. Apart from its great concentration and richness, it shows a wonderful vibrant character and will age well. Founded in 1980, COS , is the top boutique winery in Sicily, with very limited production of stunning modern wines. The 10 hectares estate lies near Victoria on the south east corner of the island (12 x 75 cl)
In 1811, Louis Gaspard d'Estournel set out to produce wine of the very best quality in the hamlet of Cos. He was a dealer in Arab horses, which were shipped to and from the Far East, accompanied, eventually, by some bottles of the Estournel wine. Some of the consignment came back and it was noticed that the bottles had developed exceedingly well. D'Estournel decided all of his wine would make a sea journey and to emphasise his connections with the Far East he built a chateau in the style of an Oriental temple, complete with Pagoda towers. The success of these wines is due to the expert management of Bruno Prats who has invested on a large scale and has made many fundamental improvements. The vigorous taste holds nuances of ripe fruit, plus chocolate, coffee and spices. Gravel ridges, mixed with sand, clay and a limestone subsoil. 50-100% of virgin barriques new oak. "Massive in the mouth and one of the most structured and concentrated young Cos d'Estournels I have ever tasted...should last for 30-35 years. It is fabulous Cos, but patience is required. Anticipated maturity, 2006-2030." Parker, 93+. (12 x 75 cl)

This 'Super-Second' Chateau, which overlooks Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, has a reputation for making wines of impeccable quality, achieved by owner Bruno Prats. The Royal Tokaji Wine Company was established in 1989 and the 1st vintage was produced in 1990. Over 50% of the company's vineyards are classified as 1st or 2nd Growths and production is limited to wines with 4 puttonyos and above. It pioneered the production of single vineyard wines and its major role in Tokaji`s renaissance is now widely recognised. The Royal Tokaji Wine Co Essencia 1993 vintage is a deep burnished gold colour, remarkably full bodied and luxuriously sweet showing excellent balance and structure. Tempting kumquat, orange and caramel are evident with generous hints of white chocolate and toasted bread. Fresh and long the wine is drinking very nicely now and should cellar well until 2012. Available in 50 cl bottles but Availability is limited.
