Once the fruit is harvested the wine remains in slovenian oak casks for at least two years before bottling, the result is a clear, purple-red in colour, with good depth and 'legs' indicating the certain structure. 100% Sangiovese, it is intensely perfumed on the nose, with fruit aromas including blackberries, blackcurrants and cherries a dominant theme. In the mouth, the wine is full bodied, with tremendous depth and richness, attractive fruit and well balanced acidity. (6 x 75 cl)
Poggio di Sotto Brunello di Montalcino
Founded in 1989 by Elisabeth an Piero Palmucci Fattoria Poggio di Sotto is located in Castelnuovo dell'Abate. The 33 hectare estate is currently uusing 12 hectares for vines and after ageing in Slovackian barrels it is relaease. Intense ruby red with some light hints tending garnet. The aromas are intense, rich and pronounced with ethereal and spicy notes. A vigorous, harmonious wine the tannins and robust structure deliver through to the enjoyable finish. (6 x 75 cl)

This single varital Sangiovese wine is produced from vines atleast 25 years old. After fermentation the wine is aged 24-36 months in Slavonia oak barrels and French barriques, it is followed by a further 6-9 months in the bottle before being released on the market. This wine is a bright ruby colour, with violet highlights, and has an intense, persistent bouquet of berries and aromatic herbs. This elegant, complex wine, is characterised by a long aromatic persistence, good tannic structure and nice finish. (12 x 75 cl)
