When served chilled, it complements dry pastries and delicate desserts, but also foie-gras and piquant cheeses. (6 x 50 cl)

Vinicola di Apollonio TERRAGNOLO Salento Primitivo Puglia
Noe Apollonio founded the company in 1870 and now Marcello and Massimiliano Apollonio are the fourth generation of the Apollonio family to carry on the family business. Today, great care is taken in the production and vinification of local grape varieties to produce wines of uniquely southern Italian character. Powerful and complex, the wines have flavours of ripe, dark fruits and leather, attractive weight, richness and balanced tannin. This 100% Primitivo wine is harvested by hand before going into the winery where, after fermentation, it spends 1 year in American barrels and 1 year in bottle before being released. A Ruby-red coloured wine with burgundy flashes, this generous full-bodied red has brambly blackberry fruits with cherries and spice, integrated with vanilla flavours from the oak. (12 x 75 cl)
