Description:
Bodegas Ventosilla, which is situated just a few kilometres from Aranda de Duero, was purchased in 1989 by a group of businessmen from Madrid. 1997 saw the release of their first wines and many people from Ribera del Duero believe that this bodega is going to be one of the most important in the region.
This Crianza is a blend of Tinta Fina (Tempranillo)95%, Cabernet Sauvignon 3% and Merlot 2%. It is fermented in stainless steel vats at 26ºC and macerated for 15 days. It then remains in American oak casks for 12 months followed by a period of 6 months in French oak vats and 12 months in the bottle.
Ruby red colour with intense iodised undertones, the wine has medium opaqueness, a good body and is perfectly clean. A tremendously complex and personal bouquet, at first, it offers aromas of fruit, forest and even flowers, which then grow into more powerful aromas with the oxygenation in the glass, which gives it a unique personality. The tannins are generous, pleasant and bring together the wood and the wine in an unbeatable way, while it offers vanilla, coconut, cinnamon, nuts with a lasting velvety finish.
