Lorenzon BORGO dei VASSALLI Pinot Grigio Isonzo DOC

The wine is outstanding: rich and full yet aromatic and nicely balanced. The Lorenzon family's 160 hectares of vineyard in the Isonzo DOC zone in southeastern Friuli are primarily split between two blocks. The 'I Feudi di Romans' part is situated in the heart of the zone. An old apple grove with stony, well-drained soil of glacial origin, it now comprises 60 hectares of vineyard and 15 of apple trees. The care the Lorenzon family put into working their vineyards ensures that excellent quality fruit, which is ripe and flavourful, arrives at the winery. These characters are captured in the wine by winemaker Davide Lorenzon , resulting in wines of great value. (12 x 75 cl)

The 100% barrel fermented Dessimis Pinot Grigio, produced from one of Gianfranco Gallo’s top vineyards, is full-bodied and intense, with a smoky richness and the nutty finish characteristic of top Pinot Grigio.
