Domaine du Marquis d'Angerville is one of the most famous estates in Burgundy, being one of the very first to bottle its own wines. In 2003 the legendary Jacques d'Angerviiie sadly passed away. His influence on the region over the years was unquestionable. Following his death Jacques' son Guillaume, decided to leave the world of banking in Paris and return to Volnay to head the domaine. Working alongside brother-in-law Renaud de Villette, Guillaume looks set to continue the success of the domaine. (12 x 75 cl)
Volnay is traditionally the most feminine and elegant of the Cote d'Or red wines. Louis Jadot source the grapes from several growers in Volnay and produce a fine, silky wine with a medium body and nice finish. (12 x 75 cl)
The Clerget family have been making wine in Volnay for 600 years, Yvan Clerget has been running this small, 9-hectare, domaine for 20 years making impeccably pure Volnays and a great 1er Cru Pommard. (6 x 75 cl)
An excellent negociant house, the company was founded in 1849 and, although it now benefits from the technical expertise as part of the Boisset group, members of the family are still involved in the running of the winery. The style of the wines strikes a nice balance between modern and traditional Burgundian winemaking. This Pinot Noir Volnay has refined fruity and floral aromas, smooth and graceful body with soft tannins. (6 x 75 cl)
