The dark fruit aromas develop on the palate as concentration, fine, ripe tannins, restrained power and length on the finish highlight the hallmarks of this John Duval shiraz. Entity is sourced from old Shiraz vineyards from the Stockwell, Light Pass, Ebenezer and Krondorf regions in the north and east of the Barossa Valley. Duval is a legendary name. As only the third winemaker to be entrusted with the making of Australia's most famous wine, Penfolds Grange, John worked for Penfolds for 28 years (including 16 years as chief winemaker) until his departure in 2002. He now makes two wines under his own label.
