Description:
Vineyards in Gisborne, Hawke's Bay were harvested at optimal flavour ripeness, providing a complex blend of spice and floral notes of fruit. This is a rich and spicy wine, with hints of Turkish Delight and tropical fruit that many will find delicious.
An aromatic fruit salad of pear, pineapple and honeydew melon lifts from a beautifully soft palate. This wine has a lovely balance of fresh fruit, tropical notes, a slightly creamy palate and a clean and satisfying finish. (12 x 75 cl)
Fruit was sourced from the Hawke's Bay, Gisbourne and Marlborough regions with all grapes being carefully hand harvested. This wine is full of pear, spice and stone fruit characters. There are hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, peach and apricot, on a very rich, warm and long palate. (6 x 75 cl)
This wine has intense blackcurrant notes blending in with the sweetness from the subtle influence of American and French oak. The palate is rich with a soft acid that allows the wine to linger with a ripe fruit finish. To enjoy at its best, remember to have it at room temperature or slightly warmer in the winter months. (6 x 75 cl)
The first Rose for Villa Maria, this wine displays vibrant colour and aromatic floral notes. An off-dry wine with perfumed rose petal and ripe raspberry characters and a soft and mouth filling palate. To add complexity, the wine was allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation and a very small proportion of the blend was aged in oak. (6 x 75 cl)
Sourcing fruit from the high and low altitudes of the Marlborough region enables Villa Maria to make a Riesling that shows the attributes of both. The higher plains of the Awatere Valley contribute a pineapple influence while the old river bed of the Wairau Valley gives the floral and citrus notes. The wine has many layers of complexity. A lively wine with a refreshing just off dry finish. (6 x 75 cl)
Shows ripe melons and lychees on the nose and palate has subtle biscuity influences brought about by malolactic components. The fruit weight is balanced with Marlborough's natural ripe acidity and a layer of subtle oak (12 x 75 cl)
Intense ripe herbaceous characters typical of this variety are apparent in the bouquet with a further hint of tropical fruit indicative of low cropping years. The palate is full with flavour and natural fruit acid that gives a zingy freshness and lingering palate. (6 x 75 cl)
