Emmanuel Reynaud took over from his late uncle, Jacques, in 1997 and is now fully conversant with the vagaries of the vineyard, which is unique for the area (planted with 100% Grenache, north facing, sandy soil with no 'galets'). These are unique wines - extraordinarily elegant and expressive, with fantastic complexity. Pignan, is not a second wine as it comes from its own vineyard close to the Rayas vines and makes wonderful wines in its own right.
