Bodegas San Valero was established as a wine cooperative in 1945, when 60 grape growers from region of Carinena came together. Today it comprises over 700 active members who own about 4000 hectares of vineyard in the region.
Situated in the village of Carinena, at the heart of the eponymous region, Bodegas Anadas is a new producer with ambitions well beyond those of any others in the region. With 100 hactares of mature vineyards, situated in the foothills of the Sistema Iberico mountain range, it only produces restricted yields of Garnacha , Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Chardonnay. Aiming to be the new face 'La Nueva Cara' of Carinena, Care's striking label design sets them apart from the mainstream and gives a clue to the modern, yet characterful style of the wines being made. The Garnacha Cabernet, Finca Bancales certainly sets new levels of achievement for the region and it's rich, concentrated, multi layered complexity fires a shot accross the bows of some of its more illustrious neighbouring regions. A remarkably supple, velvety smooth red with hints of ripe wild strawberry fruit coupled with savoury notes from the time in barrel. Well balanced with a juicy, succulent, moreish finish. Cold maceration of skins followed by cool fermentation results in a bright, crisp, almost minerally chardonnay. A bright pale straw yellow coloured wine with green hues it is rounded, bright and citrusssy with gentle, buttery, melon notes and long creamy finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Impressive depth of colour with powerful, fruity, archetypal varietal character. This has softened most agreeably with a little bottle age. (12 x 75 cl)
The Particular Malbec has the intensity and silkiness characteristic of good Malbec. Good depth of colour and attractive perfumes of red fruits, violets and tobacco, with vanilla and spices on the palate. Rounded ripe tannins, full-bodied fruit and a long, intense finish. The Bianchi family winery was founded in 1928 by Italian immigrant Valentin Bianchi and now covers 350 hectares of vineyard. It is run by the third generation, headed by Enzo Bianchi. Until recently a sleeping giant that was dependent largely on the domestic market, they have undergone a gradual transformation and modernisation in the past few years. (12 x 75 cl)
Covinca was founded in 1987 after the merger of 2 cooperatives; that of the Almonacid de la Sierra and the Longares . Today, Covinca is managed by a young but experienced team representing over 700 members who together possess 3,000 hectares of vineyards and are the third largest bodega in Carinena. Carinena is one of the oldest Denominaciones de Origen in Spain and the oldest in Aragon. Viticulture began in the time of the Romans where indigenous grape varieties of Garnacha and Carinena were then taken to other parts of the Roman Empire . The Carinena Denominacion de Origen is situated 56 km south east of Zaragoza, Aragon, and is situated in the Iberica mountain range between the Campo de Carinena valley and the Ebro river. The Denominacion covers 50,000 hectares and has a long viticultural tradition and rich cultural heritage dating from the mudejar period. Generally the climate is arid in Carinena, with an annual rainfall of 350mm. The summers are dry and sunny, the winters are cold and the area often feels the effects of the 'el Cierzo' wind, which contributes to the dryness of the climate. This wine is made from the grape varieties Garnacha (6 x 75 cl)
