Situated in the Valpolicella zone, the Farina family produce and select only the very best grapes. They transform them into wine using the latest technological innovations, yet always with a strict respect for ancient and time-tested wine making procedures. Remo Farina has been a grower of high quality grapes all his life and has always worked with passion and tradition on his estate. He lovingly ages his most precious treasures in his own cellars, carved deep inside the earth underneath his villa, where the temperature is always 12-15c. (12 x 75 cl)
In 1796 Conte Antonio Rizzardi created the famous garden and green theatre of Pojega, set in the midst of the vineyards which surrounded his villa in Negrar di Valpolicella. Now, just as then, the wine coming from the cultivation at Villa Rizzardi of Pojega is considered a special reserve of the house. The grapes come from a vines selection of more than 25 years old. The wine process involves a secondary fermentation technique called ripasso. This traditional method consist in re-fermenting the wine in the already pressed skins of Amarone. The harvest took place in Pojega in the fist ten days of October. The final product is generous in perfumes that, in the best years, remind especially an intense note of truffles bouquet. Ideal tasting temperature: from 16 to 18ÂșC. Limited and numbered production. (6 x 75 cl)
Seven gentlemen, on august 23, 1933, set an appointment in the offices of Francesco Betteloni, notary public, to sign the deed giving birth to the Cantina Sociale Valpolicella. Today, the Cantina Valpolicella directs and coordinates the production of approximately 200 grape-growers with vineyards covering a total of 450 hectares. All these are located in the classic Valpolicella hillside zone. All have the same dedication and passion as the original founders. They work together and in their mutual interests to turn member producer's grapes into high quality wines, performing activities that improve winemaking and grape-growing knowledge and culture. The vineyards are situated on about 450 hectares in the classical Valpolicella Hills area Northwest of Verona, which are mostly concentrated in the town of Negrar. The most used system of cultivation is the traditional Pergola system, with about 2,500-3,000 plants per hectare, while the average age of the vines is 20 years. The cultivation of the vineyard has among its primary objectives the maximum possible degree of respect for nature: for this reason, biological techniques are used, and pesticides are used as little as possible. A blend of Corvina 65%, Rondinella 20%, Molinara 5%, and Corvinone 10% this wine is made from grapes located in the heart of the classic Valpolicella zone on the Negrar hills. The harvest is done entirely by hand, with many selections for special wines, such as the Amarone, produced from single vineyards to exalt its characteristics. This wine is a ruby red colour with hints of violets. The bouquet is a combination of red fruits with sweet tannin while the vinous and spicy palate is well balanced, full bodied and velvet (12 x 75 cl)

Tommasi Viticoltori is a family firm founded in 1902 by Giacomo Tommasi and today the estate is run by the 4th generation of family. From grandfather Giacomo's tiny vineyard, the Tommasi estate has grown steadily and now extends over 135 hectares of hillside vineyard blessed by mother nature, not only by a magnificent landscape, but more importantly by its perfect suitability for grapes. The family owns exceptionally well situated estates for the production of high quality white wine in the D.O.C. regions of Soave and near Lake Garda for Lugana, Custoza and Bardolino . In addition, it has vineyards in Valdadige, a valley created by the Adige river in the mountains north of the province of Verona. Ripasso Tommasi is the unique result of refermenting Tommasi Valpolicella Classico Superiore, on the warm dried grape skins from which Tommasi Amarone has been pressed. This process, used only in rare vintage years, imparts the richness of character and personality of a great wine to an already superior wine. Intense ruby red coloured wine blended from Corvina Veronese , Rondinella as well as Molinara grape varieties, and aged 24 months in Sloavian Oak barrels. This has produced a wine with a rich spicy black pepper nose and a hint of raisins. Full bodied taste with very intense, spicy, sweet cherry flavours have produced a well balanced wine full of flavours that combine to produce a nice finish. (12 x 75 cl)
