Chateau Carignan Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux Rouge from France, Bordeaux, Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux by Chateau Carignan Soft & Supple Reds (12 x 75 cl)
Chateau Carignan's Philippe Pieraerts has invested enormously in both the vineyard and the cellar and it shows in spades. Once the grapes for this wine are hand selected from specific parcels of old vines on the larger Carignan estate they spend 18 months in new oak before being released. Available in 1.5 Litre Magnum bottles. (6 x 1.5 Litres)
Philip Iles and family moved to the sleepy village of Villenave de Rions in 1998. In doing so he realised a dream, as he now owned his own vineyard. Three years on he is making some of the Premiere Cotes de Bordeaux most exciting wines. They are certainly at the cutting edge of the New Wave of Bordeaux wines; New World attention to fruit but still a respect for the best of the Old World traditions and terroir is proving to be an effective formula in both the Lezongars and de Roques ranges. This wine is a blend of 60% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc, it is showing good fruit flavours from the nose to the palate. The smooth tannins complement this balanced wine that has an enjoyable finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Owned and run by Francois Masson-Regnault, Chateau de Pic's vineyards are some of the steepest in the Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux, situated in the prime area of the appellation near La Tourne. The free draining slopes and very old vines result in a deep red coloured Merlot dominated wine offering juicy red and black berry fruits with hints of cedarwood aromas. This is a strong, concentrated claret that develops rich, ripe spicy notes and a warm well-balanced palate after a few years cellaring. Available in Magnum bottles. (6 x 1.5 Litres)
