Domaine Henri Gouges CLOS DES PORRETS 1er Cru Nuits-Saint-Georges
Domaine Henri Gouges CLOS DES PORRETS 1er Cru Nuits-Saint-Georges from France, Burgundy, Nuits-Saint-Georges by Henri Gouges Soft & Supple Reds (12 x 75 cl)
Domaine Henri Gouges CLOS DES PORRETS 1er Cru Nuits-Saint-Georges
The Henri Gouges domain was established in Nuits Saint Georges at the very beginning of this century. Founded by Henri Gouges, it was subsequently developed by his two sons, Michel and Marcel. In the last 15 years Pierre and Christian, the grandsons, have carried on the traditions of the estate by continuing the quest for excellence in everything they do both in the vineyards and in the cellars, they produce wines considered to be the benchmark for Nuits. The wines are produced on 14.5 hectares of vineyards and includes holdings in 6 Nuits St. Georges 1er Crus. Uncompromising about quality and respectful of the typicity of the different vintages, the harvest is entirely destemmed and vinification takes place in lined cement vats for approximately fifteen days, depending on the vintage. After cuvaison, the wine is transferred to small oak barrels and after 18 months ageing in oak barrels, using a maximum of 20 % new oak in the final blending, the wines are fined with egg whites and given a light filtration before bottling. This Premier Cru (6 x 75 cl)
