Description:
Celebre, a blend of 40% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Syrah has a Rhone-ish character underlaid by the ripe berry fruit of the Cabernet and given a touch of flesh and plumminess by the Merlot.
The Craighall Chardonnay is golden in colour and has perfumes of tropical fruit, melon and toasted nuts. On the palate, this gives way to buttery, biscuity characters, with smooth silky tannins and a long, clean finish. (12 x 75 cl)
The Pinot Noir on the palate has rich cherry stone with delicate spices and ripe plum characters that emerge in the glass. Fine tannins run evenly across a full palate. A very low yielding vintage and a wonderfully warm early summer has delivered a dense, structured, deeply sumptuous, velvet-textured Pinot Noir with great density. This is a serious, cellar worthy Pinot. Ata Rangi is run by Clive Patton and his wife Phyll, Clive’s sister Alison and her winemaker husband Oliver Masters. They style themselves as the Ata Rangi Four, bound by a shared enthusiasm for Pinot Noir and a passion for quality. This passion is evident in their wines, in particular their Pinot Noir, which is consistently ranked as one of New Zealand’s best. The Ata Rangi vineyards are situated in Wairarapa, just south of Wellington. The grapes are planted on a thin layer of well-drained alluvial soil deposited on what was the original course of the river as it flowed east to the Pacific Ocean. (12 x 75 cl)

In the renowned Martinborough Terrace region Palliser Estate has approximately 85 hectares under Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris grape varieties. Palliser Estate have found that even over the relatively small area they cultivate, there are great differences in soil types and climate which all help to add complexity to the wines it crafts. The Palliser Estate brand is the Flagship range from this company with a justified international reputation. This Sauvignon Blanc comes from the original vineyards planted in 1984 and has vibrant, lifted aromas of passion fruit, green herbs and a hint of stone fruits on the nose. The palate is explosive with succulent fruit characters and excellent mid-palate texture and weight. The refreshing acidity gives clean mouthfeel, and the flavours last and last. It is a lovely expressive Sauvignon with beautiful balance and harmony. (12 x 75 cl)
Tasting Notes: The Riesling has an enticing aroma of limes, ginger and honey. Off dry in style with hints of apricots and a long lingering finish has created a wine with definition and enjoyment now. Time in bottle will show the fantastic developing complexities of great Riesling. Winemaking: Harvested in the early morning when the flavors were showing their best, the grapes were hand picked and processed quickly. Following a slow cool fermentation in stainless steel the wine was stopped fermenting at 8.5 gms/litre to retain natural fruit sweetness. (12 x 75 cl)

A block from the Clouston vineyard is selected for these wines. This has produced a Sauvignon Blanc with a very intense nose of classic herbs and hints of tropical fruits and tamarillo.
