The estate of château du Tertre borders onto Chateau Cantenac-Brown, Brane-Cantenac and Chateau Giscours. It is situated on one of the highest hills in Médoc which is where its name comes from (Tertre means knoll). Its 50-hectare vineyard, all in one piece, is remarkable for its excellent exposure, the composition of its fine gravel soil and the choice of grape varieties predominantly Cabernet-Sauvignon. Its wines, which show great finesse, are outstanding for their lovely colour and their perfumed aroma. With a deep, crimson red colour, this wine has a nose dominated by blackcurrant and hints of very fine wood, on vanilla. The mouth is suave, balanced well, with a long finish.
