Using a combination of traditional grapes from the region and more familiar varitals from around the world has allowed the Siam Winery to produce medium-bodied wines that are both dry and lower in acidity. The aim of these wines is to enhance, complement and balance a rich mixture of flavours found in Thai cooking.
The local grapes Malaga Blanc and Pokdum are fermented and macerated in the saignee method together with Black Muscat to produce this unusual salmon coloured Rose wine. Showing fresh aromas of watermelon and mango fruit this is a light-bodied wine with a crisp and delicate finish.

In keeping with our classic Old-World style of Chardonnay, this wine possesses a citrus and mineral bouquet that reveals notes of crisp green apple, kiwi, honey and lightly toasted oak. On the palate, the wine is lively and complex with flavors that include pear, fuji apple and limestone balanced with toasty oak. All of these refined flavors contribute to the balanced expression of fruit aroma, flavor and finish, making this the perfect complement to many types of cuisine. GRAPE SOURCE 88.0% Russian River Valley 12.0% Mendocino County BLEND 100% Chardonnay WINEMAKING Cool, handpicked grapes were barrel fermented in 100% French Oak . Partial malolactic fermentation allowed the wine to retain the natural crisp acidity of the Russian River Valley fruit. Extended sur lie contact added to further balance the natural acidity of the fruit with a creamy texture. The wine remained in barrel for five months prior to bottling and was aged for one year prior to release. (12 x 75 cl)

Papapietro Perry’s foundation is a long friendship among work colleagues with common interests and a driving passion to make fine wine. Ben Papapietro and Bruce Perry met during their careers with the San Francisco Newspaper Agency, publisher of the San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner. As their friendship developed, they discovered they both came from families where Grandpa’s homemade wine was as common on the dinner table as vegetables from Mom’s garden. Their interest in wine spilled into another friendship at work, this time with Burt Williams, a pressman and co-founder of Williams Selyem Winery. In the ‘70s, Ben helped Bert make garragista wine in Bert's garage in Sonoma County. After Williams Selyem was started, Ben and Bruce helped out each year at harvest—and were seriously bitten by the wine bug. In 1980, Ben began producing his own garragista wines and Bruce joined him a few years later. Inspired by his love of French Burgundies, Ben began making Pinot Noir, diligently seeking high-quality grapes to produce his favorite varietal. By 1990, Ben was purchasing Pinot Noir grapes from some of the most highly-regarded Pinot producers in the Russian River Valley. After several years of hearing friends and family praise their homemade wines, in 1998 Ben and Bruce took the plunge and produced their first commercially available Pinot Noir. Although the first release was only 75 cases, it marked the launch of Papapietro Perry Winery. The Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a blend from three carefully-selected vineyards in the appellation including Leras Family Vineyards, Elsbree Vineyards and Windsor Oaks. Although close in proximity each holds its own distinction Papapietro Perry Winery feel they are among the best the Russian River Valley has to offer. Medium-deep ruby colour with aromas of fruit, spice, smoke and earth. Flavours of red cherry, berry, spice, and minerals satisfy the palate while the sweet oak, solid structure, and firm tannins lead to a long and balanced finish. (12 x 75 cl)
The wine has a lovely pink hue and the ripe flavours from good vineyard sites. It is made in a dry style, while the vibrant, fruity, berry-driven nose has a delicate and fresh palate through to the pleasing and dry finish. There can be few places associated with the development of New Zealand wine that has such unique historical significance as Mission Estate Winery. Established in 1851, Mission Estate is New Zealand's oldest winemaker. Over 150 years of experience and passion have culminated in the current collection of Mission Estate, Vineyard Selection, Reserve and Jewelstone award winning wines. Grapes are sourced predominantly from Hawke's Bay, with modern viticulture and winemaking techniques practiced to ensure the long-standing reputation for quality is maintained. (6 x 75 cl)
This wine has an attractive pink colour typical of an authentic Rosé, while the nose shows the ripeness of the young Shiraz with strawberry and Kir Royale notes. The apparent fruity sweetness on first tasting develops into a more solid structure displaying a dry finish. Stellar Winery is situated 275 km north of Cape Town on the road to Namibia. The winery makes use of a semi-arid climate, unrivalled refrigeration capacity and extensive in-house engineering skills to produce modern, Fairtrade organic wines. Stellar Winery was the first organic vineyard and cellar operation to receive the highly sought after Fairtrade accreditation. Fairtrade companies undertake to empower economically disadvantaged workers and ensure that a fair price is paid for the product along the whole supply chain. Stellar Winery undertakes a big commitment with both farm and cellar staff transported to and from work, while families receive health care and the permanent services of a community worker. Workers receive free housing, electricity and water as well as subsidised schooling and child-care facilities. Finally, a percentage of the wholesale price of the wine is paid directly back to the Stellar Fairtrade Workers' Trust. The wine is made in the sparsely populated Namaqualand region and does not suffer the light pollution that plagues urban areas around the world. The dark nights and clean air result in a breathtaking cosmic display with the aptly-named Milky Way at its centre and the producer pays homage to this phenomenon with the Stellar Range. The wines are assembled from different farms, ferments and yeasts. Each wine in the blend starts with deep colour and ripe fruit and tannins. Individual nuances arise from organic agriculture, saline irrigation water, cooling afternoon winds, wild ferments and other still-to-be-discovered influences. Lightly wooded for structure rather than flavour, these wines offer a tasting experience that will provide a convincing argument for the ascendancy of organic over conventional wines. (12 x 75 cl)
