Shaw and Smith’s Sauvignon Blanc remains their flagship wine and the benchmark for Australian Sauvignon Blanc. This Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc from Shaw and Smith is made from 100% Adelaide Hills fruit, principally from their own Balhanna and Woodside vineyards. The result however, is an excellent wine. It is light, bright lemony yellow, with greenish lights, and has pure varietal perfumes giving way to a clean, fresh palate with the lively acidity considered a benchmark for Australian Sauvignon Blanc. Once again, this wine is sealed under a Stelvin closure to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. (6 x 75 cl)

This wine has deep, dense colour and an essency nose of blackberries, blackcurrant, aniseed, pepper and ink while oak treatment is nicely restrained. The same intensity follows through the palate, which has ripe, piercing flavour that's long, tangy and complete. This shiraz finishes with ripe, fine-grained tannins and a soft, fragrant aftertaste.
