Organic, vegetarian. A classic 'petit chateau' Claret: a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in wood. Open and accessible in style, without austere tannins. This wine from the area near St Foy la Grande has a typical Claret aroma of red and black (12 x 75 cl)
Located in the heart of the Medoc, between Margaux and Saint-Julien, the Moulis appellation benefits from an exceptional terroir. Chateau Poujeaux has an uninterrupted vineyard of 52 hectares planted on the finest outcrops of Gunz gravel, the ideal soil for the Great Classified Growths of the region. Planting at Chateau Poujeaux consists of the four traditional and perfectly complementary grape varieties, Cabernet-Sauvignon the predominant variety in the Medoc, produces a powerful wine with a bright, lively colour. Merlot with its superb roundness, brings the firm, mellow bouquet, while the Cabernet-Franc , planted at Poujeaux in some of the finest plots, adds that touch of sophistication. Finally, Petit-Verdot brings elegance, with a full-bodied, strong-coloured wine, rich in tannin. This blend ensures the richness and harmony of each vintage. (12 x 75 cl)
This unique soil and microclimat are reflected in the wine's personality. Cantemerle has a brilliant colour, a powerful bouquet, and a soft, lively flavour. It is rare to find such refined fruitiness. This great wine can be enjoyed young, when it is charming, fruity, and marked by a vanilla taste which comes from well-integrated oak. Cantemerle is therefore an ideal wine for the modern consumer who likes fresh tannins. However, it can also age extremely well. Fine, old vintages have impeccable class, with incomparable flavours of sheer elegance. Cantemerle therefore belongs to that rare category of the world's wines which can not only age, but also improve over several decades. (12 x 75 cl)
