Some 20 miles north east of Montpellier in the hills above the village of Saint Drezery stands the fine 18th century Chateau Puech-Haut. In among olive groves and truffle oaks is a speciofic terroir (6 x 75 cl)
The Classique Blanc is showing buttered apricots and limes with a whiff of fennel and aniseed, a blend of Roussanne , Rolle and Marsanne . A well-known estate taken over by Jean-Benoit Cavalier in 1984 which seems to be on the right tracks again after a few years in the doldrums. The vineyards are situated in the communes of Vacquieres and Corconne north east of the Pic Saint Loup. (6 x 75 cl)
The Chateau de Capitoul is located in the Langeudoc, in the south of France and the wines are classified Appelation Coteaux du Languedoc Controlee. Charles Mock is the owner and winemaker of this excellent property in the La Clape area, he has owned the property since 1983, and has built up a fine reputation for making wines with great character and typicity. The uncrushed grapes are kept on the stalks and pressed directly from harvesting, as quickly as possible. The must is cold sttled the fermented at a controlled temperature of 16 (6 x 75 cl)

This rose is a blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache displaying a nice deep colour and intense aromas of crushed strawberry, mixed with peppermint. Well balanced, a freshness whith hints of fresh fruits give way to a complex and flinty finish. This red is 60% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 5% Mourvedre from red argilo-calcaire soils; the grapes are destemmed and, after a three week cuvaison, the wine spends 15 months in vat.
