Chateau Poujeaux Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel Moulis-en-Medoc Bordeaux
Located in the heart of the Medoc, between Margaux and Saint-Julien, the Moulis appellation benefits from an exceptional terroir. Chateau Poujeaux has an uninterrupted vineyard of 52 hectares planted on the finest outcrops of Gunz gravel, the ideal soil for the Great Classified Growths of the region. Planting at Chateau Poujeaux consists of the four traditional and perfectly complementary grape varieties, Cabernet-Sauvignon the predominant variety in the Medoc, produces a powerful wine with a bright, lively colour. Merlot with its superb roundness, brings the firm, mellow bouquet, while the Cabernet-Franc , planted at Poujeaux in some of the finest plots, adds that touch of sophistication. Finally, Petit-Verdot brings elegance, with a full-bodied, strong-coloured wine, rich in tannin. This blend ensures the richness and harmony of each vintage. (12 x 75 cl)

La Tour Carnet is a 4 eme class growth incorporating 125 ha estate where the vineyards, cover approximately 48 ha, are an average of 24 years old. The property is made up of 50% Cabernet sauvignon, 39% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc. The grape harvest is picked manually and transported in small cages from 25 to 30 kg. The grapes are then sorted on table in the wine storehouse by hand. Fermentation lasts 8 to 9 days and the maceration lasts aproximately 25 to 30 days. Regular reassemblies ensure a permanent contact between the skin and the grape juice. Punctuated by frequent rackings, ageing lasts around 18 months, in barrels 50% new each vintage.
