The company was intitially a producer of brandy used in the production of Port wine, however it progressed to produce its own Ports. It wasn't until 1960 that the first vintage was produced with the family's trademark. The house still remains in the hands of the founding family, managed today by Manuel Joaquim Pocas Pintao, and specializing in Colheitas - vintage tawny Ports. This wine exihibits plenty of vibrant fruitiness with a long and elegant palate, boosted by nutty characteristics. Delicious with a mild cigar.
