Tasting notes: Intense ruby colour with garnet reflections, pronounced and complex bouquet with hints of cherry, fruits of the forest, spicy scents of violet and tobacco and a suggestion of minerals. Elegant, smooth, velvety and intense it displays characteristic hints of plums, black cherries, black pepper and tar. It is full bodied and austere on the palate with balanced tannins and acidity. It will continue to age and develop for more than a decade. Production Area: Our own vineyards in Lapio and Montemiletto. Wine-making techniques: Carefully selected grapes are hand-harvested and then macerated for 10-12 days. When the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are complete, the wine is aged in small French oak barrels for 18 months. After blending the maturation continues in 35 hl oak barrels for 12 months and then in bottle for a further 8-12 months. (6 x 75 cl)

The wine has a deep ruby red colour with aroma of plum and blackberry that evolve in caramel, vanilla, mint and chlorophyll. On the palate it is soft, well-balanced, full-bodied with excellent aromatic persistency and long cherry finish. (6 x 75 cl)
Vesevo Taurasi is deep red in colour with intense aromas of red berries. The wine is beautifully poised on the palate, with nice oak balance and a wonderful freshness. This wine is in a class of its own, as was attested to by the fact that it has won the Southern Italian Trophy at the Decanter World Wine Awards in three of the last four years, first with the 1998 vintage, then with the 2000 and 2001. Despite being so far south, the Irpinian hills of Campania is one of the last regions in Italy to harvest. Vesevo’s vineyards are situated at between 450 and 550 metres above sea level, and are influenced by a cool breeze that blows off the Bay of Naples. The flavours obtained in the vineyard are then preserved in the winery by Mario Ercolino – formerly winemaker at, and co-founder of, I Feudi di San Gregorio. (6 x 75 cl)
