Description: The De Neuville company was founded in 1856 by Francois Eugène Moreau, in Saint Hilaire Saint Florent, a quaint village very close to Saumur. In 1869 his daughter Juliette married Jules Benjamin COQUEBERT de NEUVILLE, from an old noble family of the Champagne region. As a barrister in Paris, he was keen to develop the production of the company by introducing the same methods as used in Champagne. Their expertise was rapidly recognised and contributed to the brand being served at the best tables in the world.
