Echeverria Unwooded Chardonnay Curico Valley Chile
Description: In 1740 the Echeverría family moved to Chile, and has been prominent in Chilean agriculture, and active in grape growing and winemaking since then. In the early 1900's, the Echeverría family established a vineyard and winery in the outskirts of the town of Molina, in the Curico Valley, the wine heartland of Chile. Since then, Vina Echeverría has been growing fine grapes from French pre-philloxera rootstocks, and producing fine wines in that same location. Great care is taken in making this wine, harvested by hand the grapes are carried to the winery in 18 Kg. boxes immediately after cutting. Destemmed and chilled the grapes undergo direct pneumatic pressing, 24 to 48 hours of static sedimentation and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 14 days. This is followed by static cold stabilization at -5ºC for 15 days it is then stored in stainless steel tanks at 10ºC prior to bottling. This unwooded Chardonnay is a pale yellow colour with golden tones. The fresh varietal aroma, with hints of peaches, pears and bananas compliments this well balanced wine that is showing fresh and crisp acidity. In the mouth it is round and creamy, with a nice long finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Kingston Estate ESTATE Sauvignon Blanc South Australia
Description: Kingston Estate Wines has grown rapidly since Sarantos and Constantina Moularadellis first developed their 40 acre vineyard in 1979 in South Australia's Riverland wine region. Today, Kingston is the 10th largest wine producer in Australia and remains one of Australia's largest family-owned wineries. The grapes for this wine were sourced from selected vineyards along the Limestone Coast and Adelaide Hills, cool-climate regions ideally suited to Sauvignon Blanc. Only the free-run juice was used to minimize phenolic content and fermentation temperature was carefully controlled to ensure maximum retention of varietal characters. This has produced a pale yellow coloured wine with green tinges, the nose is unmistakably Sauvignon Blanc with pungent herbaceous fruit characters of tomato leaves, lantana and capsicum. The herbaceous characters continue onto the palate where they are complexed by pineapple and passion fruit, tropical fruit flavours. A racy acid backbone gives this wine a lip-smacking finish. Kingston Estate ESTATE Petit Verdot South Australia
Petit Verdot is a unique red variety that thrives in the warmer regions of Australia, and in particular the Riverland area of South Australia. Originally from the cool Bordeaux region of France, this late harvest variety struggles to ripen in its homeland. However, Kingston Estate has extensive plantings of Petit Verdot growing in selected deep sandy soils on limestone adjacent to the winery where the grapes consequently reach full ripeness and intensity. Great care is taken from the vineyard to the winery where the Petit Verdot grapes were harvested at night and transported to the winery it is then immediately crushed and fermentation begun. On completion of fermentation the wine was matured with French and American oak before final blending and preparation for bottling. The wine is a deep red colour with a bouquet of violets, blueberries, plums and spices reminiscent of a Christmas cake. These flavours continue onto the palate with the spice characters of clove, cinnamon and vanilla well integrated with vibrant cherry fruit flavours. The palate is medium to full bodied with generous fruit and rich tannins. The fruit retains a vibrancy of wild flowers and berry flavours with a wonderful length of flavour. (12 x 75 cl)

Kingston Estate ESTATE Chardonnay South Eastern Australia
Description: Light straw in colour with a slight green tinge, the Kingston Chardonnay displays some exciting peach, citrus and lemon influences on the nose. The palate is exceptional with balance being the key.Hints of peach and tropical fruit flavours are lifted by some exciting lemon myrtle flavours. The use of some slight French oak influence has further enhanced this wine adding a degree of complexity. In the quest for fruit selection we opted for those vineyards we believe practice best canopy, drip irrigation and vineyard management. We found these sites in the sun drenched areas of the Riverland and Sunraysia growing regions. Making sure these berries were picked at their optimum levels, night harvesting was employed at approximately 13 ºto 14 ºBaume thus avoiding any likelihood of any phenolic hardness. Small batch fermenting in static fermenters with a neutral yeast has enabled full fruit flavours to develop.Avoiding any further malolactic fermentation we have produced a truly fruit driven style of wine with only a hint of French oak treatment. (12 x 75 cl)
