Araldica Alasia IL CASCINONE Sorilaria Arneis Montecillo d'Alba DOC Piemonte
Description: This unusual and concentrated white wine shows an interesting combination of fine mineral characters with floral notes, nutty almond intensity and rich white peach and pear fruit; very ripe, juicy and quite big in the mouth and on the finish, but with zippy balance and lingering length; the acidity is well balanced with the fruit, and the malo-lactic fermentation gives a creamy smoothness and structure to the wine. Arneis is a variety that really needs to be full on to work well, this is exactly that! Fruit for the Sorilaria Roero Arneis comes from the Sorilaria Vineyard in the commune of Monticello d'Alba. Situated at an altitude of around 280m, the 21 year old vines grow in clay chalky soil, and are trained in the classic Guyot system, producing an average of 8 Tonnes/ha. The vineyard is immaculate with great care and attention to detail shown by the fastidious grower Luigi Bertini. Just before harvest the grapes make a spectacular sight hanging in golden bunches at regular intervals along the vine. The grapes are hand-picked and pressed in modern pneumatic presses. 10% of the must is fermented in new French oak barriques, with the remaining 90% being cool-fermented in stainless steel. (6 x 75 cl)

Casa Lapostolle TANAO ROUGE Rapel Valley Chile
Description: Deep and intense red ruby color. Fresh, complex and generous nose of red fruit, mainly strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry, with some spicy notes coming out after a little while. In mouth, the wine is well balanced, with a certain amount of nice, smooth and well-integrated tannins. The wine fills the mouth with great persis-tence and has a spicy finish. A very approachable, charming and attracti-ve blend to enjoy now or to cellar for a few years.Vineyard: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines planted in 1992 in our Las Kuras vineyard on alluvial terraces of the Cachapoal River. The soils are shallow, with abundant round stones and gravels, that provide excellent drainage, aeration and low yield. Carmenère vines planted in 1997 in our Apalta vineyard on sandy soils covering a layer of clay. The sandy soils are poor, but the rather high level of the water table ensures an adequate water supply to the vines, with progressive stress in summer that favors the ripeness of the fruit. Grape Variety : Blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon

Leasingham MAGNUS Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Clare Valley Australia
Description: Established in 1893 Leasingham Wines has been an integral part of the Clare Valley for over 100 years. Today,Leasingham 's 300 hectares of vineyards, located to the north and south of Clare, provide the premium fruit, which, along with the winemaking commitment and expertise, enable Leasingham to produce outstanding, award winning, regional wines. The renowned dryland Schobers vineyard in South Australia 's Clare Valley produced the Jimmy Watson Trophy winning 1994 Classic Clare Shiraz. A cool, dry ripening season led to vintage yields below average which served to concentrate grape flavours and colour. Following vintage, the wine was matured in new American and French oak for 18 months, and a further 18 months maturation in bottle prior to release. Deep ruby red in colour with purple hues, this wine displays attractive berry and plum aromas integrated with cedar and vanillin oak characters. Ripe, blackberry and chocolate flavours highlight a palate of great concentration and persistence of flavour. This wine's structure, depth of flavour and soft generous tannins will ensure it gains further flavour complexity and character with careful cellaring. (6 x 75 cl)
